David Tarnowski – COO. David brings over 25 years of comprehensive, practical experience covering all aspects of product design and development, operations, technical and executive management to VisionStart. David has a consistent record of setting and achieving aggressive strategic goals and design objectives and has designed, manufactured and marketed over 235 products domestically and offshore, winning awards for achievement, innovation, and quality. David served from 1985-1998 as CEO and Director of Engineering of ADA Signal Processors, Inc. a leading-edge professional audio company that was the first to develop microprocessor controlled vacuum tube amplification and other MIDI-controlled signal processors. He founded E-Systems Berkeley, a hardware-based data format conversion company, and was recruited to manage Plex Technologies, Inc. a computer data switching company, which was acquired by Support Systems International in 1986. He has worked for a Paul Allen/Vulcan Ventures startup spun-off from Interval Research. He has created business models and plans for private placement funding of Internet startups and companies moving into the New Economy. He served as CEO for Object Channels Corporation, an XML B2B infrastructure company in 2000, and remains a board member.

He has designed wireless gestural input devices for the gaming and computer industries for Vuppet Corp. He was responsible for securing a grant from the California Energy Commission for Energyn to study peak energy usage via internet monitoring in homes. David served as CTO for Seismic Warning System, Inc., an early earthquake warning service. David studied at the University of California Berkeley in the fields of Engineering Mathematics, Music, and Economics and has a degree in Philosophy. Mr. Tarnowski is a member of IEEE, SPIE, Acoustic Society, American Management Association, and MIDI Manufacturers Association and holds board and advisory positions in three companies.

Scott Jamar - Founder / Advisor. is a 20-year Silicon Valley veteran working with companies such as, Novell, CSC Infonet and AT&T Labs. Jamar has developed business strategies and plans for over two-dozen companies worldwide, including the original business plan for a global network joint venture between Novell and AT&T in 1993 (now operating as AT&T WorldNet). Jamar has written business plans for: Internet Music Distribution, Content Syndication, Management and Licensing, Interactive Television, broadband content delivery, syndication and licensing, automated content management and distribution, On-line radio syndication, Webcasting, On-line Project Management, Voice over IP (VoIP), Competitive Local Exchanges (CLECs), Enterprise Application Integration, Web Personalization, Clicks and Mortar, 3D User Interfaces and On-line gaming.

In 1997, Jamar launched VisionStart, Inc., focused on business development and planning for high technology related startups with particular emphasis on New Media software, content management, delivery and e-commerce, as well as carrier grade network infrastructure. The VisionStart team lead by Jamar provides a broad variety of consulting services such as authoring of business plans, full financial analysis and projections, in-depth technology and market research, business development, Venture Capital presentations, marketing collateral, Marketing Requirements Documents, internal business practice technology and process reviews, M&A due diligence and product launch plans.

Shawn NunleyVP, New Media Technologies has over 17 years of experience in data communications, security and network operations, and technology due diligence, having recently left Exodus Communications as Director of Research (reporting to the office of the CEO) to join VisionStart. Nunley has been directly responsible for some of the largest network design and deployment initiatives in the past ten years, starting with Exelan/Novell in the late 80’s; Nunley was instrumental in prototyping and demonstrating the network infrastructure for AT&T WorldNet in 1993. After leaving Novell in 1995, Nunley developed a series of award winning network security products for Secure Computing. Nunley’s latest responsibilities at Exodus were investigating new technologies and companies for strategic investment or acquisition, with a focus on streaming media applications. Nunley was directly involved with Exodus’s recent investments in Global Crossing and Mirror Image.

Chris Rigatuso - holds an MBA from U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. Rigatuso currently with Oracle Corporation has held positions with Sun Microsystems and venture-funded startups: Objectivity Databases and Synergy Computer Graphics as well as SoundView Financial Group. Rigatuso's experience covers software engineering, investment analysis, corporate finance, product management, sales and consulting management.

Peggy Miles – CEO, Intervox, Inc. is an internationally respected author and expert on the Internet and streaming media, as well as being a regularly requested speaker for major broadcast organizations, including: the National Association of Broadcasters, Canadian Association of Broadcasters, Radio Advertising Bureau, Silicon Graphics, the Sprint sponsored Advertising on the Internet@NAB96, Interactive Multimedia for Arts and Technology Conference, New Media North, Radio & Records, PROMAX, Montreux Interactive/Digimedia and other organizations.


She has worked on programs for EZ Communications, KZOK, the Radio Data Group, CBS Radio Network, USA Weekend KCBS-FM Los Angeles, Liberty Broadcasting, WHFS, WXTR, The Internet News with Charles Bowen, Cupid's Net Broadcast, Home Team Sports Interactive Auction and many other on-line programs for leading broadcasting companies. She has worked with ABC, CBS affiliate TV stations, various Radio Broadcast groups including, AmCom General Corporation, Albimar Communications, Great Empire
Broadcasting and others. Miles has over 18 years management and ownership experience in the broadcasting, advertising and direct marketing industries. She owned a Database Marketing Consulting business, started-up and managed a Database Marketing Division for a direct marketing/advertising agency, and owned a video production facility.
